Mural is a series of film screenings that aims to celebrate the work of FLINTA/BIWOC/BIPOC filmmakers, platforming films made with skill and imagination despite the difficulties these artists face accessing resources, spaces and funding.

„We showcase a wide variety of genres and visual experiments in order to build an alternative space through which we present our voices to the world. With fragments assembled from collective memory, we enrich our visual imagination and in doing so create our own mural.”

Mural Team

In this edition of the mural screening, nostalgia weaves threads between our film selections, to create a comforting zone of memories that make up a home for the estranged. Our filmmakers explore the meaning of home, not just through their lens, but through the different senses that could trigger our hidden memories and secrets. We visit childhoods, family dinner tables, broken marriage nests, we climb on top of a mountain and are confronted with doubts, but what is certain, these films will be enjoyable as much as thought-provoking.

Our collection for this year creates a colorful mosaic of images and stories that takes us on a journey into the collective memory of the global south, through the stories in these amazing films:
