Diaries from Lebanon follows three protagonists—a Lebanese Civil War veteran, a feminist activist and  a symbol of the 2019 revolution—as they navigate Lebanon’s ongoing political and social crises. Set against a backdrop of corruption, state violence, and the aftermath of the 2020 Beirut explosion, the film captures their different visions for change: through revolution, political reform, or resistance.

Through personal diaries, the film offers a fragmented yet unified narrative of a nation in turmoil, where each protagonist struggles with the weight of the past and the search for a path forward. Their intertwined stories reflect both the hopelessness and hope for Lebanon’s future, ultimately asking whether change is possible when the country is falling apart.

In attendance of the director Myriam El Hajj.
