Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the April 25th Revolution, this session focuses on the theme ‘Identities’.
Alcindo: On June 10, 1995, under the pretext of celebrating the “Day of the Race” and a football victory, bands

of Portuguese ethno-nationalists marched through Bairro Alto, brutally attacking all black people they
encountered. The official outcome was 11 victims, one died:  Alcindo Monteiro. The film goes beyond the violence of that night and explores the racism that black

people face in Portugal every day.
