The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is an independent, free-spirited film festival organized for the joy and commitment to the cause. Behind it is an international team of filmmakers and (porn) film experts in Berlin, who screen and select films for a small, symbolic remuneration, all year round as a voluntary part-time job.
For 17 years, this team (in changing constellations), supported by guest curators from all over the world and many others who get involved, has been organizing a festival that aims to contribute to sexual liberation and emancipation, gender justice and more quality in sex films.

The festival – which has existed from the beginning without any public funding – does not feel affiliated to any specific current or sexual orientation, but tries to offer a subversive, feminist and noncommercial meeting place beyond all political and personal boxes. A forum for open-minded people of all ages, economic status, inclusive for all cultures and backgorunds, a shame-free place for all sexual identities and preferences.
The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is not part of a specific community, but invites all people to come into an exchange with each other on a respectful basis and to show solidarity. For us, what counts first and foremost are good films, satisfied audiences, happy filmmakers and good sex!
